Kaylee learning to ride a bike

Wednesday night, I asked Kaylee if she wanted to take the training wheels off of her bike and learn to ride without them. At first she was hesitant and was so worried that she would fall. I told her that I would help her and that I wouldn't let her fall. She was still a little hesitant, so I threw in the kicker: I told her that if she tried, I would buy her a candy bar. Of course, Kaylee agreed to that. So we took of the training wheels, and then went out on the sidewalk to give it a try. She was VERY nervous at first. I had to continually remind her to sit straight on her seat to balance herself. She was able to go about 20 feet without me holding her once she got going. Then, when Stacey got home from the Young Women's activity, Kaylee wanted to show her that she could ride. That time, Kaylee was probably able to go about 30 feet on her own.

When I got home from work last night, Kaylee asked if we could try it again. She sure has fun doing it, and hopefully, will be able to learn quickly. She is improving each time she tries.
