Monterrey, Mexico

Well, Stacey and I went to Monterrey, Mexico with my parents from January 14th - January 22nd. For those who don't know, that is where I served my mission. I was such a blast to see my mission city again and to show some of the sites to my wife and parents. I must say, however, that they probably weren't extremely impressed. I warned them before we left that during January in Monterrey, it can get cold and to bring some warm clothing. What I wasn't expecting, however, was rain and cold temperatures almost the entire time we were there. The only day that we saw blue skies and the sun was Saturday the 20th. We did get to see a lot of the major places, but we did have to pass on some of them. One that I was very excited for was the Bioparque Estrella, which is a wild animal park. However, due to the weather, the only day that they were open while we were there was Saturday, and we already had plans made for that day. Oh well, maybe next time! There are many, many awesome things to do in Monterrey, and it's a pity that we didn't get to do all of them. We were able to visit a few of the families that I worked with in my wards as well as one of the families that I baptized in Modelo. It was so fun to see the people, and Stacey has told me that her favorite part was visiting with the people. All of the pictures are available here. If you have any questions about any of the pictures, feel free to contact me.
